Can I always sound like my idol? DON'T GET SCAMMED

Mixing and Mastering aren’t magic processes. Don’t trust anybody who assures you that you are always going to sound fantastic no matter what. Mixing can improve considerably any recording but can’t convert a disastrous recording or a bad song into the new worldwide hit, as well as not even the best mastering engineer can make a bad mixing sound astonishing.

Why can't I mix and mastering my own music?

You can, but you can’t expect professional results just as you wouldn’t expect a Mercedes if you decided to make your own car. It’s simple, professional engineers have the knowledge, experience and equipment to do it. It’s perfectly fine to spend time learning and trying to do your own things if you are just having fun with music, but if you are aiming high and taking it seriously you need to hire professional mixing and mastering services.

Whats the difference between mixing and mastering?

Mixing is taking all the tracks and layers result from your recording session and putting all of them together to make one final track musically pleasant. Mixing is certainly an art and every engineer has his own techniques, equipment, tricks and approach. Even though the mixing process is quite complex and variable, we can find some steps which every mixing project normally follows; track cleanup, noise gating, volume balance, spacial placement of the instruments, equalization, compression, vocal tuning, delays, reverb etc.

Mastering is the final step in order to enhance your song for the music market out there. A good mastering engineer must know every music genre has its own sonic necessities, and there before a different mastering approach.

How do I know GoMixing is worth it?
